The Kiwanis Club of Oak Harbor enjoys working closely with children in our community and presents certificates quarterly at every elementary school. The certificates are intended to recognize students who put forth extra effort and work very hard to achieve their goals. Student goals may vary and may include such things as getting homework in on time or continuing to "try" in a subject area they find particularly difficult. Only one child is selected from each classroom to receive a certificate. Kiwanis International Achieving by Believing Award is a very special honor and we are especially proud of the recipients. 

Each year third-grade student in Oak Harbor Elementary was presented with their very own dictionary courtesy of the Kiwanis Club of Oak Harbor. Teachers use these dictionaries to construct lessons, and the students can use the dictionary for homework, reference, or independent learning. A dictionary is more than just words; it opens doors to knowledge and understanding. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of young learners.
