Our History

The North Building at Oak Harbor Elementary is a great source of pride for our families, staff, and students. The building was built in 1934 to be used as a secondary school and served as a high school until 1956. With its gorgeous oak staircases, stunning vaulted ceilings, and large wood-framed windows, the old high school's character still makes an impact on all who walk its halls. Yearbooks, class photos, and building photographs adorn the halls, celebrating students who attended school here from the early 1900s through the middle of the century.  If you are interested in learning more about the history of our building you can read the Wikipedia Article and view the photo gallery.
